Trustees approve PCC Presidential search timeline and committee appointments

Faculty Association survives ouster from state union

Share: In the second decertification attempt in a year, the Pasadena City College Faculty Association (PCCFA) won a majority over the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) to remain as the on-campus faculty union representative.  The vote to remain with the FA was at approximately 52%, according to Political Science Professor and PCCFA Director Marcus Green. Communication overload: Why counseling appointments are so hard to get

Share: PCC is known for providing an extensive list of resources to its students, one of which is the counseling services, however, students’ frustrations regarding counselor availability highlight an underlying issue in the way information is disseminated throughout campus..  As a public college, most of its funding comes from the state, which provides the general fund for the school as well as the various programs and services offered. Lancers football cross Cougars off hit list

Share: Lancer football’s dominant winning streak continued with a home victory against the Los Angeles Southwest College Cougars on Saturday in convincing fashion. The Cougars began with the ball, but the Lancers held it off with strong defense. Lancers intercepted three minutes into the game by PCC cornerback Idrique Carmichael. Scott served as president of Pasadena City College from 1987 to 1995, laying the groundwork for a $150 million bond program that revitalized the college’s facilities and infrastructure. Low crime continues at PCC, yet fear persists

Share: The Clery Act federally requires all colleges and universities to record and publicize specific campus crime statistics and safety policies. PCC’s Annual Campus Safety Report covers crimes reported on the main, Foothill, Rosemead, and PCC’s Northwest campuses. This year’s Annual Campus Safety Report shows nearly the same rate of low crime since 2020, a trend consistent since 2016 even considering the recent decrease in enrollment due to the pandemic.  Of reportable crimes, the largest numbers are mostly property theft.
