Volleyball: Lancers encage Falcons

Share: Overflowing with services aces, stuff blocks, and solid passing the Lancers had a blast in their dominating victory over the Cerritos Falcons on Wednesday evening at PCC. The Lancers maintained an unbreakable wall, demonic serve angles, and a reliable left side which produced the perfect mix of defense and offense. The Lancers went into this game less stressed and ready to have fun making it easy for them to take the match 3-0.  Follow:

Star-filled ‘Last Christmas’ cast can’t save horrible script

Share: A Christmas movie with Daenerys Targaryen from “Game of Thrones,” Nick Young from “Crazy Rich Asians,” and a soundtrack primarily comprised of George Michael sounds almost too good to be true—and it was. “Last Christmas” stars a fantastic cast with actors Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh. Unfortunately, even their incredible acting couldn’t mask the film’s poor attempt to incorporate the entire kitchen sink of political and social issues in its plot.  Follow:

Women’s volleyball drops two games in a row

Share: Five sets filled to the brim with kill blocks, setter dumps, and pipeline spikes caused the Patterson Gymnasium to erupt in Wednesday’s game against the LA Harbor Seahawks. After the close and well fought sets, the Lancers unfortunately lost against the powerhouse team. Both squads showed solid offensive and defensive power, and proved to be a slugfest from start to finish.  Follow:

Trump’s propaganda overshadows Baghdadi raid

Share: On October 27, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of terrorist organization ISIS, was killed in a raid conducted by Delta Force in Syria, bringing about the end of the world’s most wanted terrorist in recent years. However, while the raid was deemed an operational success, the actions of President Trump during the raid shows that this is not his “Obama got Bin Laden” moment.  Follow:
