Return to campus causes student backlash at universities

Students at several UC campuses returned to in-person instruction on Monday, Jan. 31, which created some tension with some students. Although UC schools put into place mask mandates and testing standards to ensure student safety, students organized protests and staged walkouts. Most cope with anxiety with a yoga class, a private masseuse, a cup of coffee with a friend or playing a pick-up basketball game, but that’s all been taken away since the stay-at-home order was issued. Lancers beat El Camino, continue path to championship

PCC yet again landed another 2 victories against the El Camino Warriors on Friday in back to back matches, winning the first game 11-0 and the second 11-1. Despite only having 5 players, the Warriors put up a decent fight, but were unable to overthrow the currently undefeated Lancers. The Lancers were able to keep the Warriors from winning all but a single match in the second game. This kept the Lancers in the top spot of the division to compete in the the finals. …

Shifting priorities in the honors program

He dresses in a formal business attire and dawns a black dress shoe, while carrying a bag filled with his planners and notebooks. Inside his planner consists of day-to-day activities that range from grading class assignments to business-related duties. His demeanor, likewise, is a caricature of other professors who dress professional by society’s view of an authoritative figure.

PCC: a sanctuary for international students

Walking around this campus, one can bump into many students running late to class, sitting down underneath trees that offer a cool shade, or an international student. Except one wouldn’t necessarily know if they were an international student, not unless you asked. There are many reasons why PCC is wonderful. It is a great stepping stone for anyone wanting to transfer to celebrated universities, but it also has a diverse student body that encompasses the spirit of belonging to a supporting community.
