Editorial: Advisers inspire JACC wins
Share: This past weekend the Courier staff attended the Journalism Association of Community Colleges State Conference in Burbank where we not only attended panels and workshops but also competed in State Publication contests and On-the-Spot contests. We did extremely well individually and as a whole, winning a total of 19 awards including the Pacesetter Award, which is given to the top four student publications in the state. Follow:
PCC Courier brings home nearly 20 journalism awards
Share: Staff writers and photographers for the PCC Courier, a student-run media organization, took home 19 awards this past weekend at the Journalism Association of Community Colleges (JACC) 2016 state conference. Students had the opportunity to compete, network and attend workshops. PCC was joined by 45 other community colleges in the three-day event that took place at the Marriot conference center in Burbank.
