In an effort to give students more options and save money on textbooks, the Campus Bookstore is planning to begin a rental program as early as fall semester.Leslie Thompson, manager of bookstore services at PCC, has been working to arrange a profit-sharing partnership with a wholesale company.
Mixer held for new passport program
The PCC Community Business Center (CBC) celebrated and promoted its passport application acceptance program with a lunch and mixer on May 19.”We’ve just been overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm PCC has been bringing to this program,” said Howard Josephs, customer service manager of the Los Angeles Passport Agency.
Panda Express donates towards student scholarships
The Classified Senate held a fundraiser on May 18 at the local Panda Express on Colorado and Bonnie Avenue during which 20 percent of each customer purchase with a flyer was donated to student scholarships. According to Classified Senate president Gary Potts, the money from the fundraiser is intended for for deserving students.
