I wanted to thank the staff and advisors of the Courier for the April 1 edition that gave such prominence to the importance of the arts on our campus. From the Center for the Arts article below the fold on the front page, to the two-page spread on our outstanding Artist-in-Residence Gary Panter, you have emphasized how essential art is in our lives.
I wanted to offer some information that was lacking from the story on the Sculpture Garden on Page 8.
The Sculpture Garden was proposed by VAMS Emeritus Professor of Painting Suzanne Bravender and was designed by renowned environmental artist Jody Pinto.
For more information on the Sculpture Garden and some of the works in the garden and Shatford Library, see my artist-in-residence podcasts on the PCC website at www.pasadena.edu/air/view-all.html
Thank you again for your continuing coverage of the arts on our campus.
