Finding a convenient place to get a delicious healthy meal can be difficult sometimes, especially if there are fast food outlets lying around, tempting visitors to grab a bite.

Plain sneakers won’t cut it anymore. It’s bright colors, flashy designs and creative style dominating the shoe industry and creating a new name for their admirers, sneakerheads.

For this former PCC-student-turned-professor, an ideal getaway would be a deserted island filled with an endless amount of books. She once read an entire section of fiction when she used to work in a library! After receiving her B.A. in Philosophy from Boston University, she received her master’s in Philosophy from CSULA.

Michael Tiedge sits an unmeditated 20 feet away from the T building and takes a puff of his cigarette, giving a mental once-over to a band of smokers huddled around a girl and a lunch table across the way. Their bravado is covered in curls of smoke as Tiedge makes an example of them.

Coming into the season, PCC’s football team had a tall order. After losing quarterback David Pittman and receiver David Reed, players who re-wrote the PCC record books at their positions, not to mention a collection of sophomores who transferred to division one programs, it looked to be a rebuilding year.

The Lancer Women’s Volleyball Team ended its season on a promising note, having won 16 out of its 23 matches despite its first-round loss against Orange Coast College Nov. 25 during the Southern California Regional Playoffs.

After finishing with only four wins last season, the PCC men’s basketball team has already surpassed last year’s win total in the infancy of this season.

PCC’s women’s basketball, now an established power in the sport, has jumped out to a quick start again this season, winning the College of the Desert Thanksgiving Tournament.

PCC’s men’s soccer finished the season with a disappointing 5-2 defeat against South Coast Conference rival Cerritos College Saturday at Cerritos, one win away from the State finals.
