Wireless Internet access ports have now been turned on throughout the PCC campus. After its initial launch during the winter intersession, PCC’s wireless service is now in its final stages and is on schedule to be completed within the next couple of weeks.

Softball Gets Blown Away By Cerritos College
The women’s softball team was shut out 8-0 in a five-inning road game against conference rival Cerritos College on Tuesday.The Lancers (13-9, 3-4) were shutout for the second time this season, as Cerritos (21-4-1, 7-0) limited PCC to only two hits, which came in the fourth inning and had five strikeouts in the game.

Swim Improves In San Francisco
Continuing their strong start this season, the PCC swim team won for men, 69-62, and women, 79-48, during the duel meet against El Camino, hosted at PCC, on Thursday. After the Thursday meet with El Camino, the Lancers headed to San Francisco for a meet with Diablo Valley College on Friday and to attend the Mariner Invitational, hosted by College of Marin on Saturday.
Smith Retires After Storybook Season Ending
There was a noticeable change in the atmosphere Tuesday morning. A tall man in a Bruce Lee T-shirt walked around the W Building with a huge smile on his face. In his arms was a state championship trophy, cradled like a newborn child, and a gold medal around his neck.
Accreditation Team To Conclude Crucial Campus Visit
The visiting accreditation team will conclude its visit Thursday, ending its three-day visit with an exit report presentation at the Vosloh Forum at 2 p.m. Stuart Wilcox, dean of institutional planning and research, doesn’t anticipate receiving anything less than “fully accredited” status.
