The PCC Track and Field Team took five sprinters to the Southern California Finals at Mt. San Antonio College this weekend with one sprinter advancing to the state meet to be held at San Mateo College on Friday and Saturday.

If freshman Marissa Rangel is a little confident, it’s with good reason. During the Lancer’s 20-19 overall season, she came through in a big way, batting .331 in conference games, leading in triples, playing center field with no errors, and stealing 10-of-12 bases.
Jackie Robinson Honored at Park Groundbreaking
PCC President Paulette Perfumo was among the guest speakers at the Groundbreaking Ceremony held at Robinson Park on Saturday. The ceremony was held to mark the beginning phase of a $24 million public works project to create a state-of-the-art sports and recreation facility, named after Jackie Robinson and his brother Matthew “Mack” Robinson.
Pasadena Makes History in Key Ceremony
Rachel Robinson, philanthropist, and founder of The Jackie Robinson Foundation was presented the Key to the City of Pasadena at Robinson Park on Mother’s Day. This was the first time a key to the city was presented to an African-American woman in the city of Pasadena.
Former Football Player Dead in Suspected Suicide
Darryl Stephens, a former member of PCC’s football team, died on Monday in a suspected suicide according to San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.Stephens was found in Upland, after Upland Police responded to reports of gunshots.

AS VP of Academic Affairs Resigns Post
AS Vice President of Academic Affairs Connor Lewis announced his resignation from the executive board after Wednesday’s Associated Students meeting. Lewis expressed his disappointment with numerous actions taken by the AS this semester as his primary reason for stepping down.
