The Associated Students unanimously approved a resolution Wednesday, to add a refundable $6 student activities fee to the list of current enrollment fees paid by PCC students.
PCC Plans to Cut Summer Courses
PCC will be cutting class sections for the summer intersession as a result of the statewide budget crisis.Dubbed a “resizing” by Interim Vice President of Administrative Services Mark Zacovic, about 60 sections will be eliminated, he said during a budget meeting during last Wednesday’s Flex Day.

Thousands join in on the first Pasadena Marathon
As they waited for the countdown right in front of campus, the dedicated participants of the first annual Pasadena Marathon battled the rain, as they prepared for the race to start. Before sunrise on Sunday the racers were ready. The announcer shouted, “Good morning Pasadena! What’s it like to run in the rain?”Within the more than 9,000 participants were students from PCC excited about their involvement in the marathon.
House Fire Closes Down Neighboring Streets in Rescue Attempt
Smoke and flames from a burning house on Del Mar Boulevard was visible from the top floor of Lot 5 on Sunday. Pasadena City Firefighters closed off Del Mar from Bonnie Avenue to Allen Avenue to fight the blaze. More than 15 firefighters were on the scene along with multiple fire trucks and an animal rescue vehicle.

Students March For Water Across L.A.
PCC student organization Seeds of Change participated in a march Sunday along with other organizations to raise awareness on Southern California’s water crisis and to focus on the need for the sustainable management of fresh water for everyone.
Campus-Wide Wireless Internet Now Available at PCC
Wireless Internet access ports have now been turned on throughout the PCC campus. After its initial launch during the winter intersession, PCC’s wireless service is now in its final stages and is on schedule to be completed within the next couple of weeks.
Sanity Evaluation Delayed For Former Student
The sanity evaluation of former PCC student George Wood Pigman IV was not presented to the court on March 30 and will be delayed until April 28.
