Life After Death: ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ Cemetery Event Honors Departed

It was a sight to see: elaborate skull costumes, dozens awaiting skeletal face makeovers, regular Frida Kahlo sightings, hundreds dancing to the beat of folkloric drumming and admirable altar offerings to those departed all found its niche in Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s 9th annual Dia De Los Muertos celebration on Saturday.

Judge Denies Continuance In Student Homicide Trial

A witness for the defense in the pending murder trial of former PCC student George Pigman failed to appear in court for a hearing on Monday. Last week, the court refused to grant a continuance for the defense, and ordered the witness, a psychiatrist evaluating Pigman to appear.

Statewide Mock Disaster Drill to be Held on Campus

Pasadena City College will be participating in a statewide drill simulating a magnitude 7.8 earthquake at 10 a.m. on Nov. 13. Various establishments such government buildings and schools will be participating this mock drill to prepare for a catastrophic natural disaster.
