It’s the 50th anniversary of Dinner in the Park, a community Thanksgiving event that normally feeds hundreds of people outdoors at Pasadena’s Central Park in Old Town. Tasteful fundraiser fills Rose Bowl bellies to benefit Union Station
Filling the field of the Rose Bowl Stadium on Sunday, thousands gathered for the inaugural Masters of Taste food and beverage festival, and not just to fill their bellies. During the winter season Pasadena gets cold at night, especially for those without a home. Several local outreach programs offer emergency shelters and other services for those looking for a place to sleep and eat.
“Rocking” event brings together community to help end homelessness
Organized by Union Station Homeless Services, participants dressed up in rocker gear to race to end homelessness. Families, volunteers and sponsors gathered at Arcadia County Park this past Saturday to participate in the first annual Rockin’ for the Homeless 5K run/ walk.
