Going into the final week of play, the Lancers held their own destiny needing to win both games against Cerritos to guarantee a spot in the Southern California Regional Playoffs for the third straight year and they did so by setting new school records and outscoring the Falcons 22-9 in the series.
Stellar pitching and dogged perseverance helped the Lancers add two more games to their impressive winning streak.
Born and raised on the beautiful island of Kauai, 19 year old twins Shawna and Shane Ogata bring their academics, athleticism, and their Hawaiian hospitality to PCC. Both majoring in business, Shawna played two seasons for the Lancers volleyball team, while Shane plays baseball. The twins share a passion for the beach and their natives roots but what makes them stand out is the love they have for each other. Unlike most siblings, Shane and Shawna are best friends.
The surging Pasadena baseball team won their 16th game of the season Thursday afternoon and remain tied for first place in the SCC North division race as the Lancers completed the season sweep at LA Harbor College, beating them on their own turf.
