Women’s basketball dominates Tartars, 83-29

The women’s basketball team made winning look easy on Feb. 6, as it dominated El Camino Compton Center by more than 50 points, 83-29. The Lancers were just 17 points shy of joining the 15 other 100-point games under Head Coach Joe Peron.

Lancers baseball dealt two crushing losses

The baseball team took a step backwards on Feb. 5 with an 11-4 loss at Grossmont College and then on Feb. 7 the Lancers were buried from the start with a 16-2 trampling at the hands of Irvine Valley College on the road.

Women’s Basketball falls to undefeated No. 1 Mt. SAC

Good things come to those who wait, such as chances for great shots or well-executed plays. However, patience didn’t come easy for women’s basketball as the team missed crucial shots and opportunities to break Mt. SAC’s undefeated streak. The outcome was a seven-point defeat by No. 1 Mounties (24-0, 11-0), 52-45 on Feb. 1.

Tensions rose over the weekend in Los Angeles as p Tensions rose over the weekend in Los Angeles as protesters clashed with law enforcement and city officials, putting the city of Pasadena and PCC community members on high alert. 

PCC President José Gómez sent out a campus wide email late Sunday night encouraging students to stay connected and continue to attend class this week. 

“College leadership in closely monitoring the situation, we remain in regular contact with our public safety officers and the City of Pasadena,” Gómez said in the email. “Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students, and we remain fully committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all. That commitment is unwavering.”
