PCC transfer rates drop 20 percent

PCC only transferred 1,475 students to the University of California and to the California State University’s in the 2012-2013 year. The school sent 572 students to UCs and 903 students,” said Chase. As for the transfer data for the 2012-2013 to independent and out-of-state institution, the numbers have not yet been released.

Before she turned 18, PCC student Jordyn Kane auditioned for American Idol, had one of her songs featured on an ABC Family television show and issued an EP on iTunes. Despite these accomplishments, don’t expect to catch her bragging about it to her classmates.

Student Health Services coordinated the event with the emphasis on promoting the campus going smoke free next year and also informing students and staff on the dangers of smoking and encouraging them to quit.

Passionate instructor gives back to community with Board election

Teaching child development and special education here at PCC, the mother of two is currently working on her PHD in higher education at Claremont Graduate University. Puglia found time in between all that to run and campaign for an empty seat on the La Canada Unified School District Board, which resides in PCC’s District 1 area, and eventually won the race.
