A former PCC student has been sentenced to the maximum prison term for killing his girlfriend and storing her body in a trash can filled with kitty litter.

Board fires vice president of administrative services

The Board of Trustees voted Wednesday morning to fire Richard Van Pelt, vice president of administrative services. President Mark Rocha has also recommended the termination of Alfred Huthchings, supervisor for Facilities Services.

A trial date has been requested for PCC student Bowen Du, 19, who has been charged with vehicular manslaughter after a fatal accident, according to his attorney.
