In the past year, 1,036 people have been shot and killed by police, according to the Washington Post. Black people are killed at twice the rate of White Americans, and on May 25, George Floyd’s name was added to this list of injustices. PCC boards denounce COVID-19 related racism against Asian Americans

On May 20, The Board of Trustees, Academic Senate, and Coalition of Asian Pacific Employees (CAPE) adopted a resolution to denounce racism against Asian Americans and Asian Pacific Islanders on campus. This is in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak and the unjust nature against Asian Americans.
