PCC’s High Impact Practices Series comprises of four seminars that will discuss two topics during each session. Each workshop is meant to help students become better prepared to join the work force or to continue their academic careers at a four year school, according to studies done by the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

Fashion donation stitches new creativity
Share: It was just the first week, but the fashion design students already had hands on deck. Eyes were fixated upon laptops with illustrations. Designs on paper filled tables, adorned with swatches of fabrics that students were constantly mixing and matching. Amongst the puncturing noises of sewing and the occasional typing, the room is almost devoid of social butterfly chatter, instead replaced with the type of murmur typical in office cubicles. If we are going to get rid of Columbus Day then we should get rid of every holiday that involved any sort of nastiness: Thanksgiving and the 4th of July to name a few. History is not perfect and neither are most of figures and events in it but those people and events shaped the world we live in today and they deserve to be recognized and their days observed.
