The women’s soccer team tied 2-2 against East Los Angeles Community College on Nov. 1 in Robinson Stadium.
Four minutes into the first half, Vanessa Capra started the Lancers off with their first goal. Lancer goalie Jessica Capra made several great saves, blocking four shots at the goal. She let one slip by letting the score reach 1-1 at the end of the first period. ELAC got its first goal halfway through the first period.
ELAC came into the second half very aggressively and scored within the first two minutes. With five minutes left, Mallory Gutierrez fired in the tying goal after an assist by Vannessa Capra.
The aggressive offense and passing of ELAC pushed the Lancers to work harder in the second half. Several encounters between Lancer players and ELAC caused two yellow cards for an ELAC player towards the end of the second half.
The Lancers current record is 6-8-4. PCC will host El Camino Nov. 4.
