PCC looses another on the Road.

PCC lost a hard fought game 3-1 against East Los Angeles Community College (ELAC) on Friday afternoon.

ELAC started the game with the ball, but PCC soon took the ball and freshman Michael Alcaraz took first shot on goal in the game. Soon after, ELAC’s Kevin Gomez responded to Alcaraz’s shot on goal.

PCC’s foul in the box caused Gomez a free-kick that was blocked by the PCC goal keeper. Later in the first half, ELAC’s mid-fielder Salvador Medrano got a yellow card for a hard tackle.

ELAC’s Omar Garcia scored the first goal of the game,  with 7 minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the first half.

At the start of the second half, PCC came out playing hard with defenseman Francisco Guzman’s block that stopped an Alferdo Leon shot on goal.  Anthony Jimenez took a good shot on goal but it went wide of the net. ELAC’s Julio Fernandez kicked PCC’s Vahagn Manoyan in the face while he was going for the ball.

The next goal was scored at 7 minutes remaining by ELAC’s forward Garica. About two minutes later, ELAC scored again. With a minute left on the clock, PCC’s Yuta Tsujioka scored the only PCC goal of the game. PCC also lost Tuesday’s game 1-0 against El Camino College. PCC player Derek Olson said “we played well but didn’t finish. The rest of the season we need to be more disciplined. We are all skilled players; we got to work more as a team.”
