After the discovery of a loaded .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol in parking Lot 3, the debate over arming PCC police officers has been raised again. The gun was found Thursday in the car of student David Wilson, who was allegedly under the influence of marijuana when police searched his vehicle.

Darryl Stephens, a former member of PCC's football team, died on Monday in a suspected suicide according to San Bernardino Sheriff's Department. Stephens was found in Upland, after Upland Police responded to reports of gunshots.
AS Vice President of Academic Affairs Connor Lewis announced his resignation from the executive board after Wednesday's Associated Students meeting. Lewis expressed his disappointment with numerous actions taken by the AS this semester as his primary reason for stepping down.
Walter Tyrrel Shatford II, the man whom the library is named after, died at his Pasadena home on May 5 at the age of 94."He was an incredible man of high standards who valued educational excellence," said Mary Ann Laun, dean of library services.

Rachel Robinson, philanthropist, and founder of The Jackie Robinson Foundation was presented the Key to the City of Pasadena at Robinson Park on Mother's Day. This was the first time a key to the city was presented to an African-American woman in the city of Pasadena.
