Students March Against Prop.8

The United Rainbow Alliance marched down Colorado Boulevard on Tuesday in opposition to Proposition 8, the ballot measure that eliminates the right for same-sex couples to marry. Participants held up "Vote No On Prop 8" signs and waved a large rainbow flag to demonstrate pride and support of same-sex marriage.

PCC President Holds Forum with Limited Audience

Thirty-one students showed up for the President's Forum at the Vosloh Forum Tuesday afternoon where president Paulette Perfumo and the Associated Students board answered students' questions about PCC. The Vosloh Forum's 10 rows of seats can accommodate 296 patrons; Tuesday's forum brought capacity to about 10 percent.

Measure P is Still On Schedule

Measure P, the project aimed at renovating and refurbishing the campus with modern facilities, looks to be completed on time, despite economic strife that has marred both infrastructure and industry in recent months. "There have been no negative changes to the project brought about by the economy," said Jack Schulman, Director of Measure P Projects.

Associated Students Sponsors Campus Safety Walk

The AS is currently making plans to promote campus safety and awareness through the annual "Campus Safety Walk" sometime in the first week of November. Members of AS, and a few cadets will, be walking through the entire campus for one night to check which areas require more surveillance and patrol.

Math Club to Hold First Competition

For the first time this semester, students took their seats Tuesday to take a test given by the math club in hopes of winning some cash. Asher Shamam, the math club adviser was energetic and grateful by the number of students who were present to take the test, but explained how it has been a difficult task to get more students involved in math club.
